On September 6th, Canadian illusionist, Lucas Wilson, was featured on the TODAY show in New York City performing an escape from a straitjacket, while suspended upside down by his ankles. The fact that he escaped from the contraption in record time was impressive enough, but when Lucas finally threw the straitjacket to the ground, he was suspended in the air wearing a Love Button T-shirt! During his entire interview with the show’s hosts, Lucas’ white T-shirt with the classic red Love Button logo was proudly displayed for the entire country to see.
The next day, Love Button personnel got in touch with Lucas to learn how he discovered our organization and why our mission matters so much to him. As a Thank You for being so dedicated to our cause, Love Button honored Lucas with two VIP tickets to the 2016 Global Citizen Festival in Central Park on September 24th, as well as travel and hotel accommodations. Acting as a Love Button Ambassador at the event, Lucas got the chance to meet Coldplay lead singer, Chris Martin, and to make more loving connections during the event. After returning to Canada, Lucas has continued with his illusion act along with performing magic tricks in hospitals for sick children, where he also shares his love and Love Buttons.
