Love allows us to look past the divisions that society has built for us. The Human Library Organization is creating a bridge for people of completely opposing viewpoints to connect in a judgement-free zone. People volunteer to be “books,” allowing their lives to become like pages from which someone can learn. The human “books” are those who have been discriminated against or marginalized; they are Muslims, Jews, police officers, addicts, refugees, teachers, and so on. During every conversation, barriers are broken down and people are reminded that there is far more that connects us than divides. The Human Library Organization is embodying the Love Button Global Movement every single day… because Love Unites!
