Love Button Day Celebrated at the Los Angeles Lakers Game

The Los Angeles Lakers celebrated the Love Button Global Movement on April 10, 2018 at the Staples Center. It was an amazing evening as the Lakers played the National Basketball Association (NBA) Western Division winners and playoff powerhouse Houston Rockets in their final home game of the season. Love Button is deeply grateful for Lakers owner and president Jeanie Buss and executive Linda Rambis who kindly organized Lakers Love Button day to raise funds for the nonprofit organization and its educational programs.

Over the past few years, Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis have been generous Love Button supporters, serving as high profile ambassadors of organization’s loving mission. Prior to the game, they also graciously hosted a special reception in honor of Love Button. This event was attended by organization founders Dr. Habib Sadeghi and Dr. Sherry Sami, organization supporters, and other notable guests championing Love Button and its important mission of spreading love. Love Button’s leadership is profoundly grateful to Jeanie and Linda!

The Lakers Love Button day event raised funds to support Love Button’s mission to promote Love and support the organization’s high school and college outreach programs. Love Button is developing workshops and a speakers series to promote a message of Loving, inspire kind acts and builds inclusion to counter the alarming trend of bullying, shaming, and violence occurring on campuses and in classrooms. Recent Love Button activities include visiting Parkland, Florida to support community healing following the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Love Button hosted a healing session with students and families impacted by the shooting, which was highlighted by the attendance of Coldplay’s Chris Martin who spent hours visiting and comforting the students. Love Button was honored to be among the legends that are the Los Angeles Lakers and incredibly grateful for the organization’s leadership that made Love Button day possible. The Lakers are an iconic professional sports franchise and one of the most successful teams in the history of the NBA. The Love Button Global Movement is a nonprofit organization with an international humanitarian mission to foster loving acts of kindness and to collaborate with organizations and individuals who transform and uplift the lives of our human family.
