New York City supporters of the Love Button Global Movement joined together for our NYC Dandelion Event on January 15 in Washington Square Park to spread Love.
Supporters greeted people passing by and distributed Love Buttons, asking them to help spread the Love and #PauseandLove. Actress Alexandra Lemus initiated conversations with the passerbys asking them about the meaning of Love and encouraging them to promote Love. Despite the cold weather, the responses were warm to Love Button’s mission of promoting Loving Acts of Kindness. This inspirational event was especially powerful being held on Martin Luther King Day, a champion of Love, Peace and Tolerance.
Grassroots supporters and volunteers were greeted by Love Button co-founder Dr. Habib Sadeghi who was visiting New York City. His visit included an appearance on the Megyn Kelly Today show where he discussed Love along with his new book, The Clarity Cleanse. Love Button supporters also distributed Love Buttons at Rockefeller Plaza following Dr. Sadeghi’s appearance on Megyn’s NBC television program.
Love Button Global Movement Dandelion Initiative
Love Button’s Dandelion Initiative was initially launched as an outreach effort to interact with travelers. Crews of volunteers have visited major ports of travel in their cities, greeting departing travelers and presenting them with a Love Button and a note, asking them to share love with someone at their destination. In this way, every Love Button we send out on a plane, bus, boat or train has the potential to generate love in the farthest corners of the earth. Like the white puff ball of a dandelion whose seeds, carried on the wind, take root in places far from the source, we’re sending our intention across land, sky and sea to take root in the hearts of people everywhere.
In New York City, Dr. Sadeghi gave a lecture to the One Taste organization, which was followed by an additional Love Button Dandelion event at the Chelsea Market. Love Buttons were also distributed at a The Clarity Cleanse book event held at the DC Moore Gallery, where Dr. Sadeghi was joined by special guest, actress and businesswoman Kate Walsh, discussing topics such as Love. The New York City program would not have been complete without a visit to the famous Love sculpture located at West 55th Street and 6th Avenue where Love Button supporters joined for a photo opportunity at the famous landmark.
Love Button’s Dandelion events spread Love and promote the organization’s mission – to change the world with Love by encouraging others to perform random acts of Loving kindness for family, friends, and even strangers. The more Love we share with others, the more of our oneness we experience, and that’s where healing begins. Each time we reach out to others with our Love, we plant a seed that’s carried by them into their lives and takes root in another relationship as they continue to pay it forward.
